Who am I that I think I should be writing a blog? Who is anyone who writes a blog? There’s a little bit of vanity in doing so… thinking that someone will care about what I have to say. But likewise, I think I do have something to say about the things I know something about. Sometimes.
They say it takes about six months to build up any kind of following on a blog and that most fail after the first post. This may be the case here as well. Although I could have split this intro into two posts to defeat that statistic.
Basically, I am a native of Georgia. Oddly it seems that there aren’t many of us around. That cannot truly be the case, but in a staff meeting the other day of about 15 or so people, I was the only one (and yes, that was in Georgia). I have lived here for nearly all of my life, except for a single year in Wichita, KS and a four month stint in Kansas City, KS (not the Missouri side). But we maintained our residences here in Atlanta, so I guess that counts as lifelong.
I am a software developer by profession and my interests include photography, genealogy, programming (not for work) and history. These topics and others expect to see covered here in some fashion. There will probably be the day to day posts about other stuff as well, just to make sure I build up the habit of posting regularly (promises, promises).
